When can a toddler and baby share a room?

Dc1 is 2 and dc2 is 11weeks. Planning on having dc2 in our room til 6 months. After this, is it okay/safe to have them share?

They both sleep through the night, but currently the toddler wakes at 5.30am and baby wakes at 7am.

Are they both in cots? I read that the only potential safety issue is if the toddler can post things into the cot that you wouldn't really want a 6 month old baby sleeping with. So if the toddler has free reign around the room. Loving the sound of the sleep of the 11 week old! I will hopefully have this age gap (8 weeks pg now), and would be very happy about that :)
