How do I make the transition from 'bare bum' to clothes........

It's been 3 weeks since I casually started potting training DS2 (2yrs 8 months). He'd been going nappyless (and bare bummmed) at home, then wearing nappies when we go out, at nap time and bedtime.

He's very good now - goes and sits and does wees no problems without even being reminded and poos he's got the idea of on the first day! - but I want to start getting him into clothes again - how do I go about it???

Start with baggy pants - a size too big. Then add easy to pull up and down trousers or shorts - elasticated waists. Keep t shirts quite short so he doesn't accidently wet them when using his potty.toilet.

he's already figure out how to lift up his longer t-shirts so he doesn't wet them when using the potty. And he can pull his trousers up and down very easily (almost too easily as far as I'm concerned LOL). But the few time he's had shorts on (because I've forgotten and gone into auto pilot when dressing him) without pants he doesn't seem to 'grasp' that he has to pull them down first [frown]

hi, i cant help im sorry to say, but im kinda having this problem too. dd whos 2 is fine doing wees and poos on her potty, she also goes bare bottom at home but wears nappies for going out and sleep times.

I tried letting her wear kinckers yesterday and im not sure if she feels like its a nappy but she wet herself a few times even with me reminding her to go.

I want to start training when i go out to but this is hard if she cant wear anything!!

Any advise would be great
