DD being sick in sleep...

My DD2 (1) has a terrible cold and after her evening milk this evening, threw some of it up. I'm sure this is not because she has a vomiting bug but becasue the dairy didn't sit well in a tummy that had been coughing all day. Anyway, I have given her some calpol and she fell asleep very quickly. Now I can hear her coughing and coughing (dry and raspy) and I am worried hse might be sick in her sleep. What does anyone else do in this situation? Do you just watch them (all night?!?!) or is choking on sick thing very rare in babies but talked about often. Not sure what to do...
TIA.

I'd keep an eye on her maybe sleep in her room. When dd had a vomiting bug I kept the night feeds to a minimum and stuck blocks under the legs of the head end so she was on a gentle slope.
