Breast pump!

There are so many around!
I want to get an electric one but not sure on what one is best!
I tried Breast feeding with my 2 dd's but didn't work out so need one tht will be good if I struggle with feeding naturally.
Any ideas on best one would be really handy!

I've got the Medea electric one which I find really good, never tried any others though. You can get lots of good advice on the breast and bottle feeding topics.

Thank you, a friend mentioned that one, will prob be the one I get I think, just wanted a few opinions before I made a definite decision x

I had the Medela Swing, which was great.

I borrowed a Medela Swing Double from the hospital. They're expensive to buy but worth it IME.

Madela swing here too. I pumped only for the first month as it took DS that long to realise what to do! It was brilliant.

Make sure it's the swing though and not the mini.

I had an Avent single electric then an Avent double electric which is hospital grade when I ended up
Exclusively pumping for first child and managed 5 months with this pumping every 3 hours. Got enough milk to feed 4 babies :-P freezer full lol

Another vote for the Medella Swing.

A friend and I both had the Tommee Tipee electrical one and both found expressing really hard going. Then my friend's broke she bought a Tommee Tipee manual one and said it was much better! So I def wouldn;t advise their electric one. Other friends who used the medela one seemed to get on much better than us.

I have a medela swing after using a medela symphony in hospital and it's great. Have you looked into hiring one? Ask your health visitor or local NCT

I started with the tommee tippee manual but got rsi and the pump developed the most irritating squeak!! so went all out and got the lansinoh double pump and I'm in love. got it off Amazon for £91 and it arrived within 3 days on free p&p.

I tried a manual pump with my first but took forever to use and hurt my wrists (very delicate wrists due to arthritis) so need an electric and looks like will be getting the swing it's £86.66 on amazon and toys r us atm so can't complain about price when so many people have said it's a pod one

make sure you read the reviews on Amazon and elsewhere first, I was tempted by the swing but saw that it sucks milk into the engine and the tubes, whereas the lansinoh is a double and has a specially designed system to prevent the milk from getting into the tubes.

I loved, loved loved the ameda lactaline. After using the avent idis with dc1 and finding it hopeless the lactaline was brilliant.

Before you buy a pump, I'd make sure it was one with a closed system.

I hired a Medela symphony I think it's called (double electric pump ) from a nearby chemist for a while.
Quicker than single pump and certainly easier (for me) than a manual pump.

Ameda lactaline I found better than Medea swing as you can double pump
