Should I be worried?

DS (6 months) has had a cold for the past few days. He's been quite tired during the day and waking a million times during the night because he's bunged up or coughing. Last night was the first night where he only woke up once to be fed, hallelujah. Today however he seems even more tired. I put him down to sleep at around 11.30 and he's still asleep now almost 4 hours later. Normally he only naps for around half an hour. Should I be worried? Because I am.

Sorry to hear your DS is unwell Sad

I think you should ring the out of hours GP or go to the walk in centre (whatever you have in your area) straight away.

Failing that go straight to A+E.

Hope your little boy is better soon xx

Hi Westie, how is your DS today?

WestieMamma · 20/10/2013 09:36

He's OK but very tired. He's sleeping much more thank normal, for hours during the day. But when he's awake he's happy and bouncy and chattering away, despite being full of cold.

I always found my boys would sleep more as they were feeling better - their sleep was disturbed while they were poorly that they had some catching up to do and as they started to improve they could sleep properly and made the most of it.

Glad he's feeling a bit better now.
