Normal to feel utter exhaustion?

I'm a mum to an active toddler and a 6mo. Both are currently teething and I'm bfing baby.

I know this is a bit if a daft question but I just need a bit if reassurance. Is it normal to feel utter exhaustion to the point of not being able to think straight?

I've always been a panicker and I'm just trying to get a handle on it by telling myself this us supposed to feel impossible - not that I'm mentally defective or something.

Completely normal are you able to steer the baby towards some naps at similar times each day
The thought that the baby was probably going to nap at lunchtime was what saved my sanity Grin

See doc for reassurance but thyroid problems are common after pregnancy so worth testing, could also be anaemia.

Hi ruby - nope ok physical or mental problems. I've had every blood test going and just been told by a psychiatrist I'm fine...sooooooo could this really just be the effects of having a baby and toddler?

I hope it's just I've not given myself enough credit x

Thank extreme :-)

Again I can only apologise for typos. My hand will barely type.

Guess it could be just having children then! Maybe try and ease up for a few days, sleep when they do, watch some videos etc to at least rest a bit more, hope you feel better soon. I confess that going back to work (part time) when my second was 10 months did give me a bit of a break/rest...

I've got one dc & I was often exhausted before she turned 2 and got a bit more independent, work's much more restful for me, depends on the person but you've got to do what you can cope with!

Very normal I am in a constant daze some days :-)

Scunnilingus · 17/10/2013 21:29

I hope it's normal. I have older children than you (youngest is 21 months, oldest has just turned 6) and only just have I come out of the baby fog and endlessly exhausted phase. Even now I have days (like today) when I feel so bone tired and mentally worn out by them both and that's without teething!
