Erections in young boys (ds 3 yrs old)

Ds is 3.3 and was toilet trained over easter so still fairly new to pants.

He had the odd erection which i know is normal but this week in particular he's been getting loads and he doesn't like it. I keep having to 'fix it' by just pulling his pants forward which I suppose makes less tight to his willy.

He's definitely not getting them by touching that area, they just appear from nowhere and I've had to let the teachers know what he means when he says certain things and ask if they mind 'fixing it' in the same way as I do as he's happier after.

I was hoping this is all normal however I've noticed that he's been wetting himself nearly every day this week when he's normally dry.

Should I be worried about an underlying problem? Planning to call Health Visitor or Dr on Monday but would like advise please

Perhaps... he is pushing his luck with his bladder, to see how long he can hold on? I know when boys are needing the loo they get erections, and would explain the sudden wetting too.

Oh great, I didn't know they got erections from holding it in. He has been holding it in loads but today his wetting started after i took him to the loo and he had a big wee. Next time he complains about it, I'll tell him that it's probably because he needs the loo. Thanks for that
