I'm thinking of taking dd (13m) to one of these classes in Sept. Just wondering if anyone has done one or anything similar and was it any good? It's really more for me to be out the house and meet other people, but I want her to try something different that she will enjoy too.

We did this with the Berkshire Young Musicians Trust, who run classes from Pre-Kinder up to age 7, where they nearly all graduate into Junior Choir and/or instrument tuition. DS loved it (so did I), and he learned to read music very early on which helped when he started guitar lessons.

At early stages it is all shaking shakers, hitting things etc to make noises, learning rhythms & songs, but it's good to find someone who knows the teacher you will be having.
