baby fennel tea

at what age can you give baby this as i have heard it helps with colic.

Quite early - dd had a little of it in the hospital ! Don't give it in preference to a feed though as it will fill them up but have minimal calories.

if baby is breastfed then drink it yourself. it did seem to help with dd, but I think that was perhaps because it meant I was drinking less milk rather than because of the fennel.

if you are bottle feeding then whever I think - I wouldn't give too much though (maybe a tablespoon or two in her normal milk)

oh i didn't realise you could add it to the milk - i thought you had to give it separately. that could be easier as i thought he might not like the taste.

hi I currently live in Germany as I work overseas and I had both children here. The German hospitals swear by this and give it from birth even when you ask them not too 'cos you want to breastfeed!
