3 YO suddenly can't tolerate fruit :(

Over the past few weeks we've been having real issues with DS and fruit. I've had to start limiting what he eats but it's still causing problems. Yesterday he had a bit of pear (his words so not sure how much) at nursery and a banana later on at home. In between all this I'm feeding him quite bland foods for meals and any other snacks are biscuits or crackers. Anyway, yesterday has resulted in acid poo this morning in his pull-up and I didn't sort him out for 10 mins as it was before 6am and I thought he was mucking about as he often lies about having done a poo to get me up early Hmm. Anyway, just that 10 mins has left his bottom so so sore that he can't even sit down at the moment without crying out :( I have him kneeling in a tepid bath with porridge oats and milk and I will put some and medicated nappy cream on later when he lets me near it. He used to be able to eat loads of fruit with no problems I just don't get it!!

Sorry, posted before I'd finished. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and has any advice? Obviously will be taking him to HV if it continues.

Problem sorted. Allergic to a new (to us) brand of ketchup. Made the connection tonight.

Phew Vix206. Rather the ketchup than the entire range of fruit. Hope you can pin point exactly what is in the ketchup that is causing it.

A quick search on here tells me daddies has form on this so not just us! I realised when I gave him some with his tea and noticed redness around his lips where it had touched. Poor thing, his bottom is still red raw from this morning Hmm

Aw poor thing Sad
My daughter has also recently had a reaction to daddies ketchup, all her face going red and blotchy (usually we buy Heinz)

Same here. I wonder what it is about Daddies?!
