irrating dd private area, when she does a poop and its loose it goes all over and obviously into and around her private parts which need to be cleaned, at the moment i use huggies wipes which are supposed to be like water and cotton wool but i noticed today she was a little red. Can anyone recommend any wipes that don't contain perfume (don't mind if they are expensive btw)

w/dd1, we used ASDA george wipes for sensitive skin and they worked a treat - they don't cost the earth, either.

dd2 uses cloth nappies and wipes. hasn't had an nappy rash at all.

Deffo stay away from Johnsons! Nature boy wipes never caused my ds skin and problems and he did suffer with quite a few brands

I think there is a thread around today somewhere about homemade wipes - maybe worth a try?

I like Simple baby wipes - much nicer than Johnsons or Pampers or Huggies. One day I will get round to trying reusable nappies and wipes!

ds always reacted to wipes and I tried lots of types. Pampers sensitive were ok so we used them when out and about but we tended to use cotton wool and baby lotion or water when at home.

We finally switched to cloth when he was about 15 months and used face cloths and water.
