4 week old will only nap in a moving pram

So ds has gone from only napping when held to only napping in a moving pram. Have a toddler dd so can't keep her in her pram all day while I push pram at a certain speed (he will wake if the pram is indoors, stopped moving or falls below a certain speed)., and she can't walk very fast.

Are there any tips that will help either get him to nap when the pram is not moving or in his Moses?

Have you tried the baby whisperer shhh pat? Worked for us. Hope you find a solution :)

I think 4 weeks is too young for any sort of sleep training. How about white noise once baby asleep in pram? Bring in and put in front of tumble drier/washing machine (you'll be amazed). Have you got a garden? Can you buy as slide or swing? Baby sleeps, toddler plays, you push pram. Or you can get swinging chairs that swing on own, maybe that would work? Or a sling? You moving might be enough and then probably keep moving but at least you can do other things. I've spent half the past 7 years pushing a pram over the corner of the sodding mat so I know your pain!

Baby is only 4 weeks old.... I forgot just how intense it was second time around and I suspect you have too.

How about a sling? I found that really useful when napping my second. By 4/5 months she was a champion napper in the cot/sling/car/pushchair!

Sounds like my DS at that age. I was always so envious of them others sipping coffee while the baby slept in its pram.

YYY to the swing chair - lifesaver for us. And I had a white noise app on my phone, turned up quite loud, when he was tiny. Then Ewan the sleep sheep who does the same job, but not great in a pram.

He got better! Now he pleasantly sits in a cafe drinking his babyccino and chatting to the bloke who runs the place, who is his hero.

Yup DD was the same. Screamed if she was put in the Moses basket. Sling and fisher price rainforest swinging chair made life much easier! :)

Link for shh pat. Not sleep training as such just a way of helping them settle in the cot.
