On Friday went to shops with dd. Loads of people stopped me to coo at her (proud mummy emoticon).

Was going into changing room at Oasis and the woman who gives you the token for how many garments you've got started to admire her.

"How old is she?" asks the woman
"6 and a bit weeks, but she was 7 and a bit weeks early, that's why she's still very small." I replied.
"Oh" said the woman "So can she not wake up yet?" !!!!!
"No" I patiently explained "She can wake up, she just happens to be asleep!"
Can't believe I kept a straight face.

When DS2 was 2 days old we (DH, DS1, DS2 & I) went to the swimming baths. DS2 & I were obviously in the spectating area when a woman asked me how old he was.

"2 days" I said.
"Oh, does he sleep through then?" asked the woman.
"I wish" I replied

Honestly, some people!!

this has made me giggle, i remember when my dd was about a week old, my best mate came to visit, and sat her up on her lap!! the look of surprise and shock when dds head lolled to one side and her little back just sort of crumpled was priceless! , my dd is now 15 months old, and the same mate gave her a cup full of milkshake last week, again, the look of shock when dd promptly threw the whole lot down her face, chest, legs, pram ect was hilarious.
