1yr old not gaining any weight

DS is 12 months and weighs 20lb (9.1kg), but has done since he was 9 months. He eats really well, three meals a day and two snacks, he also has two breastfeeds a day and whole cows milk. Admittedly, he doesn't yet drink much cows milk as I have only just stopped his daytime breastfeed to prepare for my return to work, but I give him lots through the day, eg in porridge and semolina, and he eats lots of yoghurt and cheese.

He is very, very active and I know weight gain slows at this age, but I'm still concerned that he should have gained more in this time.

HV wasn't unduly concerned, but asked me to return next month to have him weighed again, at which point I'm sure there will be concern if he hasn't gained any weight again.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and does weight gain really slow this much?

Yes, it does often slow that much in an active child. I think mine were still putting on weight at that stage, just very slowly, but several of my friends definitely found that their children gained no weight at all overall between 9 and 12 months.

Thanks for the replies. That's really reassuring!
QTPie, he is similar in that he was a real chunk before he started crawling! I feel a bit more relaxed about it all now and can just get on with enjoying him and stop stressing!!
