First walker shoes

Hi everyone, not sure this is the right place to post, forgive me if it's not. I wanted some advice on which shop/brand is good to buy shoes for a 1yo who has recently started walking and now wants to walk also outside the house. So far I didn't find any nice soft ones, just plasticky very stiff ones. Whereas I don't mind buying un branded/cheap clothes as long as they are natural fibre, I do care about shoes as that impacts the foot, posture and walking. I believe it's important to get good shoes and don't mind spending a bit more! Any suggestion? TIA

There have been a few threads recently about soft shoes like bobux or snuggle feet etc. These are great but if you need something a bit more robust then I'd not for startrite over clarks. Just think the quality is better and the fit suits ds much better.

If you're going to get some"proper" shoes the most important thing IMO is the fitting, so I'd avoid going at a weekend when there may be occasional and v inexperienced staff in.

Even clarks don't recommend shoes until the baby has been confidently walking for at least 6 weeks. And obviously barefoot is best whenever possible.

That's I'd vote for startrite over Clark's... Must learn to proof read.

For soft, indoor shoes, I'd recommend Daisy Roots (www.daisy-roots.com). When walking a bit more, or ready to walk outside I'd get startrite.

We were fortunate as a local shop sold both clarks and startrite, so dd had whatever was the best fit (her feet are an awkward shape).

Hey, I'm a fan of bobux (and despise even stepping foot in clarks) my 1yr old also wears moccons a lot, I love them as they are really soft but have a bit of protection from a hard floor and also give a bit of grip on wood floors (they also only cost a tenner)

Thanks everyone! Massive help!
