would you allow your child to have chewing gum?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
fransmom · 23/06/2006 22:15

i wasn't allowed it til i was 12 but have seen some parents in shop letting children as young as 5 eat it!

daisy1999 · 23/06/2006 22:16

I don't let my 7yr old have it yet but have seen 6 yr olds with it.

SecurMummy · 23/06/2006 22:29

dds were allowed it once they they turned 8 - have no idea how I arrived at taht age though!

fistfullofnappies · 23/06/2006 22:36

as soon as they are old enough to undertand that you chew it and dont swallow it (5 or 6?)
Then I give in to their pleas to have it, and start a heavy propaganda campaign against it. Hate the stuff.
