My dd has terrible nappy rash which is bleeding in areas. Does anyone have advice on clearing it? She rarely has nappy rash and its never bleed before. The poor thing is in lots of pain when I change her. I usually use sudocrem. I've heard that now its bleeding that I should be using another cream. Any ideas?

Metanium is like magic for sore bums.

Metanium, use sparingly!

Or raw egg white.

Metanium is great, but if it's much worse than usual it might be thrush which you need cream from gp for.

Sprilon spray very expensive but even better than Metanium!

I was going to suggest the egg white. I heard about it on here. Metanium is also fab ...the barrier cream and the treatment. Germolene is good too...

Aloe Vera gel from Holland and Barrett, you can actually see the redness disappearing when you put it on. Amazing stuff.

Excellent- what a consensus! thanks all. I'll be off to the chemist tomorrow to get it.

Metanium is the brand name, otherwise known as zinc and castor oil cream if case they don't stock it.
