Teething 4 month old :(

Hi , I was wondering if anyone has any tips ! My DD is teething and I have tried everything I can think
Of so far calpol, teething rings , dentinox and anbesol to no avail (unless if course they are working and it would be much worse without)

Any weird and wonderful tips would be great because as much as I feel for the poor wee thing the constant whine is driving me crazy !!

Have you tried a teething necklace? You can get either amber or hazelwood. A friend of mine's DD wears a hazelwood one and it seems to work pretty well.

Nurofen is much better than calpol for teething but not to be used regularly of course. They can "teethe" for weeks/months so drugs aren't the best answer, except on the nights they're coming through and the high pitched squeal of pain is there.

FWIW I found Ashton and parsons powders excellent with DS. DD is 4.5m now and has more fortitude (!), so just a couple of doses of paracetamol of each of her 2 teeth so far.

Ice lollies ! My df made some with diluted pure apple juice and they really worked !

2nd for Ashton and Parsons. Also Lazame teething mitts are working for us - DD (also 4 months) finds them easier to chomp on than the plastic rings. Chilled raw carrot sticks work a treat too (big pieces so she can't actually swallow it, just grab it in her fist and gum away). Attempted cucumber sticks as well in the basis they'd be coking, maybe, but she was deeply unimpressed with that idea.

No idea how I've done this obviously dd was teething at the time. Thanks for the advice though I'll use it for ds!
