Toddler swimming with cold

I think I know the answer to this but am after a few other opinions. 16 month old DD and I were going to start swimming lessons today. Haven't yet booked onto/paid for them, was going to do so this morning. However DD has awful cold, snot everywhere etc, although she's perfectly chirpy with it. Would you start swimming today (first time ever) or delay to next week (I can join the course part way in, it doesn't have to be now or wait until the next one). Opinions please!

Hopeful bump...

Personally I wouldn't do it until she's better, even if there are no health repercussions, I wouldn't be too pleased to be swimming near a snot ridden toddler, so I wouldn't dream of inflicting that on others with my own DCs

Thought so, thanks!
