DS is ten months. I stopped taking him to be weighed pretty early on because of the general awful atmosphere from the HVs when he hadn't gained what they would like. DS is happy, alert, is a very lovely, chubby, active baby and I'm not longer worried about his weight. He's so obviously healthy...

But. I just wonder why I've never been contacted about any developmental check ups? No where seems consistent but for example, I've heard of six and ten month check ups. Other areas seem to do an eight month check. I'm not particularly concerned - he's crawling, can make speech-y sounds like baaa baaa and maaaa maaaa, has teeth, eats solids well, wants to stand and walk etc. It just makes me wonder why I've never been contacted, really.

In my area it's between 8 and 12 months. If you haven't heard by 12 months id ring them
