She just goes on and on and on Shock
I reckon she's been like this for tge last month or so, before that she had the odd quiet period... now she barely draws breath between 6am and 7pm!

Anyone else suffering? Grin

Take comfort from the fact that she's likely to have an excellent vocabulary in future, and that she'll be able to articulate her thoughts and feelings to people. Both very useful attributes! Perhaps the apple didn't fall far from the tree? Smile

My chatterbox is now a lanky nearly 6foot 17 year old!! And still driving me potty chattering away!! I tell him he should have had a "Kevin" period by now where he just grunts at me for a while.....I will think I have gone deaf when he moves out!

KatyaRachmanova · 29/08/2013 18:21

My chatterbox 3yo is now a 5yo chatterbox and dd2, now nearly 3yo is also a chatterbox. As I talk incessantly I don't think they're going to stop. Grin

I am talked out by them by the end of the day though.

My 11 yo has been a chatterbox ever since I can remember

Sometimes I wish I could take her batteries out!

flipchart · 29/08/2013 18:25

In same as positiveattitude
Ds1 is 17 and never shuts up talking. Ds2 is 13 and is the same.

PipkinsPal · 29/08/2013 18:27

I'm a 45 year old chatterbox and have been since I could learn to talk. My Mother used to swear I had been injected with a gramophone needle because I just kept talking on and on and on and on Grin and on.

AnastasiaGrey · 29/08/2013 18:30

It never stops. Smile

BeaWheesht · 29/08/2013 18:31

Dd is almost 3 and never. stops. talking.

Ds is 6 and never. ever. Stops. Talking.

I am going mad.

borninastorm · 29/08/2013 18:48

DD who's 14 is a chatterbox.
And DS2 who's 3 is a chatterbox.
And I am a chatterbox.
It gets so bad here sometimes that DS2 can be heard shouting "I need to talk, I really need to talk. It's my turn to talk."
My dad used to pay dd £1 if she could be quiet for 15 minutes. She never managed it.

MimsyBorogroves · 29/08/2013 18:50

Mine's 5. I don't think he's drawn breath since he was a year old.

Can I lend you some earplugs?

Jenny70 · 29/08/2013 18:55

6yrs and counting here - every single thought that comes into his head must be said - he's on a playdate right now, ahhhh the serenity!

dyzzidi · 29/08/2013 18:57

Mines 7 and has verbal diarrhoea, she just likes the sound of her own voice.

lola88 · 29/08/2013 19:01

DN is 6 and can now go about 6 mins between chat... I hav actually paid her to be quiet in the past it's a high price though

violator · 29/08/2013 19:25

My son is 24 months and never stops talking. He talks to himself in his cot in the mornings and from then on it's constant.
I'm actually really proud of him, he's so verbal for his age. But my head hurts by 10am.

My nephew was exactly the same, he's 17 now and never shuts up.

magimedi · 29/08/2013 19:33

My 3 year old chatter box is now 32 & still hasn't shut up.

I just love it - he communicates well, he lives abroad & is happy to natter to me on the phone for an hour or so on a regular basis.

I am so happy to have a communicative child.

FrussoHathor · 29/08/2013 19:40

OP you encouraged dd to talk. This is payback her rewarding your efforts. Grin. Rod. Back. Need I say more. Wink

MrsWedgeAntilles · 29/08/2013 19:51

My poor dad always says he spent the first 18 months of my life hoping I'd talk and the next 34 wondering when I'd be quiet so he could get a word in edgeways.
DS aged 3 is currently doing all he can to avenge his grandad :)

TheCountessOlenska · 29/08/2013 19:55

She occasionally comes out with things that have dh and me thinking we have a child genius on our hands (pfb Wink ) but really it is 90% nonsense Grin She is obsessed by fairy tales and spends her life deep in role play as Snow White/ Sleeping Beauty - I have spent the day being adressed as "wicked Queen" !
