Start my HND tomorrow and I'm bricking it

As the title says, I have my induction for HND Biomedical Sciences tomorrow. I left school 10 years ago so haven't done any biology since then and never done chemistry.

I've been studying chemistry for a few weeks to get the basics, but I'm just scared I'm going to be totally clueless in a class of 18/19 year olds

Just need a kick up the bum I think.

Has anyone done this course or similar and can give me an idea what to expect?

Are you working in a lab ATM??
Don't panic
Most of the day will be filling in forms, getting timetables etc
Try and get a book list and source the most useful books if you can
Stryer is best for biochem

I've already pre-enrolled so not much forms to fill in tomoro I hope. Will be nice to meet classmates eye, just hope that I'm not too far removed from them age wise.

Are those books that you have mentioned? I'll be getting every book and more that I can get my hands on. I thought I would manage ok but just studying int 2 chemistry has fried my brain. And I'm only on the basics. Got another book coming tomorrow, I just hope I'm not getting myself in too deep. I've gave a full time job to pursue this!
