Anyone been to imperial war museum recently?

We were considering going tomorrow, we have been before but it has been shut for ages for refurb.

I think it has reopened in July but looking online it looks like the main area with tanks, planes etc is still closed.

This was the whole reason we were going to take DS (23months)! Has anyone been recently? Is it still worth taking a toddler?

Perhaps you could call and make sure that the main area is open before you go. We took DS in November without knowing that the vehicles would not be on display. Very disappointing visit!

Not much open..there's a horrible histories, a family at war gallery and the Holocaust basically.
Wouldn't bother till next year when it reopens flly.

The central area is all boarded up with only a few of exhibitions open. It will fully open again in summer 2014.
