Baby swimming

I'm taking my ds swimming soon (he will be 3months) and I need to buy a swim nappy.
I'm not sure whether to go for the konfidence neo nappy or the happy nappy. We're using puddle ducks so I also need a nappy under (I've bought a pack of huggies).
Are these sites cheaper direct or is there somewhere else I don't know about? How do their sizings come in. If we are going to be borderline weights are you better sizing up? I know they need to be tight.
My friend has given us a konfidence body warma, is he going to be ok with a huggies swim nappy + neo nappy + body warma or is it all too much?
TIA

Our local pool is cold so when we first took DD swimming at about 11 weeks we used a Huggies swim nappy, a happy nappy and a splashabout wetsuit vest.

She never overheated and could only stay in for about 10 mins (15max) without looking cold but the water temp. was only about 28.5dg at our pool.

Check the water temp of the pool in advance if you are worried about how hot/cold baby will be.

I got happy nappy and splashabout wetsuit from Amazon as it was the cheapest place to buy them at the time. Both come up big and my DD is small for her age so both were 'gappy.'

If you are just taking baby to a public pool I would size up and have them loose at first so they last longer as they are expensive. If you are doing a proper class where they insist on a happy nappy and inspect baby to check it fits, go smaller as they get funny and gaps around waist and legs (IME).

Thanks that's good to know. I've had a look and it's tempting to get the 3-6m size as he will be 3 months but he is small (15th centile). Kind of grudge buying the smaller size for a couple of weeks though!

I got 3-6 months. DD is 9th centile and although it was loose, it didn't fall off (especially if you put a wetsuit over the happy nappy). I you can get away with it because the Happy Nappy police won't be at the pool go big!

There's loads of Happy Nappies on eBay! I bought my most recent one for 50p and it was barely used Grin
