children's savings accounts

so I am currently pregnant withy first child and thinking about opening a savings account for them.
I want to open one in their name so it can receive all the tax benefits but wondering at what age they will have full access to it.
if this child is anything like my husband they will probably have a stupid attitude to money at the age of 18, even at 21 and go an spend it all on a silly car or something. and i will be v annoyed that we have scrimped and saved for them for nothhing. to be honest I don't want them to get access to it till they are something like 25.
are there any accounts around like that?
(my husband is v responsible with money now by the way) ;-)

I don't think so, I have saved money for my dc in their own accounts that they have no knowledge of you can be a signatory till the age of 18. Just before their 18 birthday I will transfer it into an Isa in my name until they are mature enough/ need the money .
