Nappy laundry service

Hi ladies ,
Has anyone used or is currently a nappy laundry for their LO? I have never known they existed until I was chatting to a friend, so I thought of reading more on it.

After research online I found a local one on Manchester called cottontails. Has anyone heard of them ?

Also , what do you think of reusable nappies ? Yay or nay?

Thanks

Big yes to reusables, big no to a laundry service. They go in a nappy bucket, they ge washed every few days. Tea tree oil or white vinegar in the bucket if it smells. Why pay someone else to do it for you?

They use cotton prefold nappies which aren't necessarily the best ones. They require special folds, and can be very bulky, with less than ideal absorbency. I know two mums who used a nappy service. Both stopped at six months and used disposables with subsequent children.

People seem to like modern nappies a lot better. Maybe try the survey from the nappy lady (google it) to see what would suit you?
