Morning sickness with a small child to look after??

How do you do it? I have had two pregnancies, one which I miscarried and the other I now have DS who is 15mo. In both I have had morning sickness, the latter so bad I was on cyclizine and it didn't even help. I was off work for 8 weeks and couldn't get out of bed. DH initially didn't want anymore children but I am desperate for DC number 2. It's not so easy as that though as we will need fertility treatment and DH worries about his mobility problems as he has chronic pain so he isn't much help in looking after DC1. So how did you cope if you had a little one and morning sickness too? I had a tummy bug this week and it was a nightmare. DS has to be shipped off to GP's but can't do that for all the time morning sickness would last for. I am not pregnant yet, not even on the waiting list for treatment, just mulling over the prospect.

I had extremely low blood pressure and sickness with dc1. There is no guarantee tat it will happen again, in fact I've been pg 4 times and during one I actually felt better, not worse.

With dc2, there had been other pg inbetween, I was sick but was much better. Dc1 was just over 3 when dc2 was birnbeck and was really good. It only lasted for a few weeks, typically over Christmas so we had to tell everyone but dc1 used to just pat my back while I was sick and I had a lot of early nights. I'm sure you'll be fine Smile

This is why I am planning a 3.5 year age gap. One of the reasons. But the biggest.

I don't know how I would manage another hyperemesis pregnancy with a small child.

I've no answers really, sorry. My children are 10 years apart, and I had hyperemesis each time. Also had another pregnancy which ended in miscarriage. I also had hyperemesis.

I had MS all day with DC2 (now ten weeks old), her big sister had just turned 2 and I was attempting to work FT with no additional help from family. I spent a lot of time lying down when I wasn't at work and went to bed early,.I wasn't medicated but it lasted to 17weeks.
