3 month growth spurt/sleep regression...

Please tell me it ends! We are on day 9 of what I really hope is the dreaded 3 month growth spurt (because I never want to do this again!). I really remember early growth spurts as being a couple of days of ravenous feeding then a blissful couple of very sleepy days when the actual growing bit happened, how have I forgotten so much?!

So mumsnet, please tell me when this madness will end and when I will get my self soothing baby back and will I have any of my rapidly greying hair left?!

We had this just as we'd gone away for the week-I remember it bring pretty horrendous! When she wasn't feeding she was crying to be fed-we stopped 3 times on a 3 hour journey to feed! It did last quite a while but as with everything, it does pass (although it seemed like it lasted forever!). Although we segued straight into a separation anxiety phase...

What helped me was learning to feed in our sling-meant we could still go for a walk without stopping every 5 mins! She didn't feed really well but enough to stop the ear-piercing screaming that made people think I was murdering her!!

Monstergoose, nice to know it does end at least, tomorrow would be good for me!

Well, mine started a sleep regression at 12.5 weeks - was previously sleeping 8pm-5am - and she's now 4 months and has only slept through once in those last 6 weeks Sad. Some nights better than others, but it also appears to be totally random, so even if she does wake less frequently I still sleep like crap because I'm expecting her to wake up all the time. I expect matters aren't helped by fact that I think she's doing a bit of reverse-cycling as she's so distractable feeding during the day she needs to make up for it with more night feeds.

It sucks. I want to retrospectively slap everyone who told me thing get 'so much easier' after 12 weeks. Totally not the case for me - weeks 5-12 were a breeze and I long for those 8-5 sleeps.
