How do you amuse your 14mo?

DS is 14mo. I sometimes feel clueless on how to occupy him. He is walking and into everything. He prefers all my things to his toys and despit having a ball pit full of toys in the living room prefers to pull at the tv speaker. When I am getting dressed he is in my make up bag even though I have him so many toys or books around him. We go a dog walk everyday, go to the park, soft play, bookbug, swimming, run around the grass and play with his toys. How do you do playtime. I do find the playing indoors with his toys incredibly tedious. He has a garage with cars, ball pit, lots of noisy toys, books, a train on wheels, jigsaw and lots more. I keep thinking if I buy x,y or z it might be easier to entertain him?

www.productiveparenting.com/aspx/activities.aspx is a list of activities and suggestions grouped by age.

It's perfectly normal for wee ones to be most interested by whatever they see you doing. They want to be like you. So if they see you putting on make up they want to do the same. There's not much you can do to get round this!

Productive parenting suggestions usually occupy him (with me participating) for around 1 minute. They tend to require parent supervision.
