I have 4 dcs. DC4 will happily play with anything, or do what the others are doing. DC3 loves Lego, so no probs there. It's DC1 (9) and to a lesser extent DC2 (8) who announce boredom really quickly. It's as though they finish on the computer after their allotted time and they've forgotten how to play!

What are your best toys etc for that age group?

Mine:

a set of plastic shapes - that I bought during a brief flirtation with home ed. They will make elaborate patterns and pictures for ages with them

friends! - if DC1 goes into the garden by herself she'll be bored after five minutes and come back in. If there's a group of them they can stay out there for hours!

Nobody?

Right then, better buy a Wii and a few DSes; perhaps that's the only way to go!
