Friends DD will be two soon and is having a little party. I would like to get her something to play with as a gift but have no idea what that would be!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated Smile

What's your budget Left?

IrisWildthyme · 06/08/2013 22:41

A pop-up playtent/house of some kind e.g. this?

NothingsLeft · 06/08/2013 22:52

Around £20 ish. She has a wooden play house in the garden already but DS would love a pop up tent!

My DD loved these bears and they are under a tenner, just.

She also loved this, under £14 and You Choose is a big favourite with lots of toddlers. There's a hardback copy if you want to make it a little more special Smile

Just x-posted with your budget.

If its £20ish try this. Lovely quality, my dd loves hers and its made in Britain too. There's also an egg cup and plate for £20 Smile

DD (nearly 3) loves her pop up tent and tunnel, her tea set, her doll and buggy and would love Jilted's idea. However the thing that gets most use in our house is books as they get read over and over again. Her favourite books are the Gruffalo ones, but most children seem to have them by 2. Other good ones are The Singing Mermaid, The Fox in the Dark, Dogs Don't Do Ballet and Giraffes Can't Dance.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 06/08/2013 23:13

I just love Dogs don't do Ballet Breathe. Have you read Don't let the pigeon drive the bus?

Amiee · 06/08/2013 23:14

Playmobil. The little bits can be held back till she's older.

Aquadraw or Magba Doodle. DD is nearly two and obsessed with hers!

breatheslowly · 06/08/2013 23:41

I've not seen that before Jilted - but I love children's books and have ordered it - thanks for the recommendation.
