If you have friends over to play, is it because you like the parents or your children are pals?

Just found out some nursery mums have been to each others house and we weren't invited so is it me or Dd?
Similarly. why would you not reciprocate a play date?

Plays dates are usually with my friends but because we see other so often the children are also friends. Nursery is tricky maybe they were/ are friends outside of nursery?

Oh god I only invite people I like over dd is 2. I couldn't bear to have some of the parents I know come over with their 2 year old! No way! It's always people I like as it happens it's their kids my dd plays better with anyway.

Sorry I read the wrong opening statement on this. I'll also add I've not reciprocates a play date because the parent is too hands on and won't let the toddlers play. She interferes all the time. Her boy alsO shouts no and points (he gets it from his mum)at my little girl and mum dosent tell him. I know she dosent like other people disciplining her kids so I just have to lift dd and walk her in to different room. Then when they go my dd is shouting no in my face for a day! So they've not been invited back. The other mum and todler I didn't invite back had such a strict routine that I had to fall in to it she was hour late then we couldn't eat straight away then she had to go for asleep at certain time and wouldn't sleep so mum got all frantic and neutotic so I don't go to her house when she invites me and I've not invited her back to mine again. Some parents are really hard work. After all it's never the kids behaviour you mind it's how the parent deals with it.
