Micro scooter seats

Hi, has anyone got any experience of the micro scooters with seats? DTs are 2 just before Christmas and I was planning on getting them micro scooters but am wondering if I should splash out on the micro scooters with seats. Only thing is they are an extra £25 which, when you have 2 to buy is expensive. Reviews seem to say there are great from about 13 months in which case I'm wondering if I have missed the window and should have got them earlier if I was going to!

I would get a micro scooter ( they are great), but dont waste
Money on seats. They really are for 15-18 month olds only.

Our just 2 two year old has been flying around on his micro scooter without seat since Easter ish ( so around 20-22 months), and tried sitting on a friends seat the other day and is far to big for the seat already ( legs all bunched up)

Actually I would also look at the micro maxis also. They are same height as mini on smallest level but adjust to adut height. Recommended age 3-12 years but our 2 year old can ride his brothers fine and I can ride also. They are a bit more also but means they should last at least 10 years

I'd go straight for Micro Scooter minus the seat, both my dc could go them at 2, as did nephew. Takes a bit of practice but ds finally got it after a week or so. They are still going strong at 4 and 6 on the micros

The micro scooter with a seat was one of the best things we bought for DS, but he used it from about 14 months, for about 9 months. He is now 2.9 and flying along on the scooter without the seat.

I wouldn't bother with the seats if they are going to be 2 when they have them.

Thanks ever so much. I will research micro maxis too then and maybe at least buy dd (4) one of them and pass her micro scooter onto DTS cos he won't know it's not new!

Lala- def good idea. That's why our 3 year old has the maxi and the 2 year old his old mini version.

One more question - I read the maxi reviews and they say suitable from age 6 - will it be ok for my 4 yr old (she's not very big!)?

Def, like I said we brought for our 3 year old as wanted to pass the mini on and he zooms around on it. When he now goes on the mini (3 1/2 now), it actually looks too small for him.

Our 2 year old can also ride fine. It's main difference is its a little heavier due to being sturdier ( ie not bendy plastic but solid to stand on), so not so easy for 2 year old to lift eyc but fine to ride. No problem with either for our 3 year old so I
Would assume fine for your 4 year old
