I really liked the toys sold by Mulberry bush, they do lovely traditional wooden toys.

What about a framed print from a children's book e.g Beatrix potter/ Roald Dahl? Or something incorporating her name? Also check out notonthehighstreet

My parents bought two original charcoal drawings of native Australian animals from a local artist for my 1st birthday.

As far as I'm aware, I'm the only one of my friends who a) knows what their parents gave them for their 1st birthday and b) still uses any of their 1st birthday presents!

I love seeing them hung on my wall. Smile They remind me of my parents every day!
