Baby yoga, baby meditation, baby swimming, Mums and tots coffee mornings - just wondering if anyone's come across anything new and / or bizarre that you, or people you know are doing with their babys and toddlers...

I think anything that involves mums (or dads) in a room with there lo is good.
We liked baby massage, boogie babies (singing with props and actions), baby yoga and messy time! I hav been fortunate enough to not hav to pay full price for theses sessions as subsidised by the children's centre cos they are expensive!
I've also heared of baby reflexology

SpooMoo · 22/07/2013 16:53

There are some quite wacky-sounding music classes near us, pricey too. And everyone is doing swimming lessons with their tiny babies (at a specialised centre, also pricey!) - I can't see the point in it til she's older.

elQuintoConyo · 22/07/2013 17:13

I've done:
Coffee mornings (just me, DS and DH)
Baby yoga (struggling to get him in babygro)
Music time (DH plays guitar, I play spoons)
Reflexology (I tickle DS' feet)
Mesdy play (custard with food colouring in the bath: play and safe to eat)

All free Grin

Coffee's with NCT friends (less so now mini's are more mobile)
Just started going to the local soft play area with NCT friends
DD loves to watch her Daddy play guitar and going to watch his band

GingerDoodle · 22/07/2013 21:15

O and also go to Rhyme Time at the local library!

SpooMoo · 22/07/2013 21:17

Has everyone else read a different OP to me? I thought she was asking about odd trends? I'm clearly misreading.

sharond101 · 22/07/2013 22:17

Messy play - custard in the bath - fab.

elQuintoConyo · 23/07/2013 11:09

Coloured custard in the bath is great fun and EDIBLE Smile

DS also had small, empty, water bottles filled with pegs, coloured pompoms, tricolor pasta, and a 5L bottle filled with plastic bottletops - he loved shaking that about, especially!
