My ds is almost 6 months and has mild reflux (controlled by bottle thickener)

I've not had him outside in the sun (shade only) and when indoors he's had a fan on him. Wearing just his nappy and trying to keep him calm and cool.

Over the last 2 days, he's been quite a bit sicker than normal after a bottle. Whereas he normally brings up a mouthful or two, its several mouthfuls after each bottle now.

I've tried to keep him cool by using a cool sponge on his body and a cooler than normal bath.

Could he have heat stroke even from the heat indoors?

Am worried Sad

Maybe he's not as hungry because he's hot so he's puking up the excess? Sounds like he could do with some extra water (although this wouldn't help the reflux so little bits and often). He'd have to get very hot to have heatstroke and it's very unlikely that he can get this indoors.

Do I need to give him water?

MIL was adamant I should give cooled boiled water but I said no! I always thought I didn't need to.

He's 6 months and it's hot so I would. Smile Usually BM and formula is OK without any extra fluids but it is a bit hot. If he has reflux then I'd give it to him whilst he is sitting as there's less chance of it coming back up.
