help me entertain kids this summer

i need some great ideas for entertaining the kids at home over the holidays. they are 4 and nearly 2 and we are likely to be at home without dh for lots of the holidays. obviously we will do parks, ice creams, baking etc but need some clever cheap ideas for making some lovely summer memories for them despite being at home a lot. we have a lovely garden btw so original garden ideas would be great

Plant some veg or tomatoes? Rocket grows really fast and is easy for them to do

Make a scrap book (buy a cheap book from hobbycraft) of your summer - get the 4 yr old to stick photos in it, draw pictures of where you've been (even if it's just the park), write what you've done

Building dens/tents in the garden
Tea parties in the garden (write little invitations to their stuffed toys/dolls)
Flower press
Have friends over to play
Go to library/museum/train trip
