calpol question

ds 19 months woke crying about ten minutes ago. He is cutting a tooth so I drew some calpol into the syringe thing. He was getting himself back off to sleep by the time I'd come upstairs so I didn't give it to him. I have popped the syringe full of medicine in the fridge do you think that will be ok if needed later?

I would say so, it's just going to be cold!

Why not just put it back in the bottle?

Don't bother putting it in the fridge. It's at room temp in the bottle and the bottle isn't sterile, so just pop the syringe in a clean cup and give it during the night if needed. Squirt it down the sink tomorrow if you didn't need to give it.

It's got plenty preservatives, it will keep close to forever.
