I have three children all with ADHD- husband also has the condition which makes matters worse. I have good solid routines which I stick to because otherwise I'd be tearing my hair out. DC3- who is 11 and is starting big school in September is refusing to go to bed. She goes down between nine and half nine- we read for ten mins in bed ( as well as cool down in family room before hand) I say it's time to sleep and goodnight. I go back to do my chores and within minutes she's behind me, "I love you mummy" "mummy? I love you" I know she's trying to emotionally blackmail me, so I say back to bed and I bring her up. Usually the only way she goes to sleep is if I lie beside her. I think for a big girl of her age she should be able to go to asleep alone. I've tried to leave DH to settle her but she refuses to sleep until I'm back in the house. The last few nights have
Been a nightmare and last night she exploded, she
Got up from bed screaming "I'm not going to bed repeatedly" which agitates other two DC and
DH. my question is- what should I do?? All advice welcome- sorry this is so long too!
