Lollipop bamboo vs little lambs

Any opinions?? Our local real nappy lady doesn't rate little lambs (I am not sure why - it was a throwaway comment and haven't has chance to follow up on it) and strongly recommended lollipop bamboo. Little lambs seem really popular tho so I am wondering if anyone has experience of either / both that could help?

They will be for a newborn, due in September and we want to use cloth nappies from the start

For one dreadful moment I thought this was a Baby Names thread!

As you were...

I didn't like little lambs. For bamboo nappies they are 50% bamboo as suppose to others which are up to 90%. This makes them absorbent. Had some and sold them. It doesn't really mater whatever suits you. Have you gone on the nappy lady website. She has lots of advice and youtube demos on how different ones work.

Some AIO nappies are difficult to fit on newborns. Some pocket nappies such as bumgenius have a thinner insert which will fit a newborn. Remember all in one nappies will fit a 2 year old as well as a newborn. So an AIO will make a newborn look like they have a JLo bum.

No experience of lollipop, but I love our Little Lambs two- part nappies! Absolutely bombproof, no leaks ever, and really very absorbent. Wash like a dream - I do most nappy washes at 60 degrees and they have survived that very well, far better than other bamboo nappies.

Have heard their wraps aren't the greatest though, we use motherease and tots bots wraps.

I've got a stash of both in size 1, happy to report back next month when baby arrives to see how they complare :)

Haven't used lollipops myself but currently using LL bamboo fitteds in size 1 on my 5wo. Have been using them from day 1 (well, after meconium was out of the way). DS was born at 8lbs/3.6kg and they've fitted great from the start.

Pros:
-very nice slim fit
-great containment
-work very well under a Motherease size Sm wrap
-great absorbency and we're not even using the boosters that come with them at the moment

Cons:
-they are pretty tiny. I don't see them lasting until 9mo as LL website suggests
-the Velcro doesn't wash well. After only 5 weeks use it's already getting less 'sticky'

All on all I do really like them but I wouldn't pay full price for them.

The label on my LLs says they're 90% bamboo. I love them and have never used any other cloth nappy.
