Clueless about Bedding

Ok. It's time. We've been co sleeping for over 8 months and little miss is now worryingly mobile. We want to get her a cot.

Except we have no idea what we need. I think cot bed... But then I look at drop sides and different heights and wonder how important these things are?

And then there's things like mattresses.... Covers.... Bumpers....

Help? Talk to me about what you use. Please?

Amazing thank you

I was sat staring at the John Lewis site like a rabbit in the headlights! We doubt she'll stay in it all night but at least while we're in the other room of an evening.

Agree, get 2 or 3 sheets and 2 or 3 sleeping bags. Definitely no bumpers and pillows aren't recommended at this age. The sleeping bags will come in different togs, I'd buy at least one in the lightest tog for this weather.

Think the type of cot depends on how tall your dd is. Dsil bought the £30ish cot from ikea but her DC were really tall and soon grew out of it. We were given a cot bed by a friend, dd has just moved out of it, she's 6 next month but she's on the small side. Ours didn't have drop sides and agree that she will probably just stand up soon anyway.
