Any advice on toddler & infant sharing a room on holiday?

We're off next week for a self-catering holiday. DD is 27m and DS is 8m. They'll be sharing a room for the first time and I'm a little worried. DS has been waking up between 4:30 and 5:30am for the past two months and, in the last week or two, has been waking several times during the night. I suspect it's his teeth, but I'm worried that he'll be waking DD the whole time.

I guess, as a last resort, we could put his cot in our room, but I was wondering if anyone has advice on how we might be able to make sharing a room work. Thanks!

We get MUCH better sleep when the boys share - I wonder if they wake, realise they are not alone, and fall back asleep?? We even had them in the same double bed for 2 weeks. Best sleep I've ever had post kids after the jet lag wore off!

We went on hol last months with dds age 2.7yo and 7mo and they shared a room. They share a room at home though so not much difference.

They rarely wake each other up either way.

One thing we did though which I would definitely recommend doing if you can is adjusting their routine a little. Our girls slept 10-10 instead of 7-7...

Lie-in until 10am anyone? Grin

For us, shifting the sleep never worked - even with a time difference working in our favour, a late bed still meant a 6am rise, and then just crouchy, over tired kids! Hope thats just our poor sleepers, and you have a fab holiday.

yeah, shifting the sleep doesn't work for us either. Mine went to bed at 11 last night - & woke up at 7, as normal. They are like bloody clockwork.

Mine only share when we are away but they don't seem to disturb each other at all.
