Baby number 2 on way, how do I transition baby 1??

My DS is 15 months old and will be 21 months when my 2nd baby arrives. Question is do I use the nursery fr baby numbe 2 and put DS in box room with toddler bed or do I keep DS in nursery (but move cot to box room) or do I buy another cot for the box room for the baby?

Confused?

Should I start transitioning into a toodler bed soon?

Why not get a proper single bed? They grow out of toddler beds so quickly. There's a range that's modular so that they can be transformed into bunk beds or high or mid sleepers in due course if you wanted. Then you can see if its popular - try about a month before your due date - and if its a disaster rethink? And you could always just use a single mattress on the floor too? (They roll out of bed a lot to begin with!). Also will you be using a moses basket? If so your new baby would be in that for a while first anyway, so you'd have time to get another cot if you discover you really need it.
