Has anyone tried them, are they any good? The disposable inserts are meant to be biodegradable and environmentally friendly plus I'm in love with all the colours and styles to choose from Grin

I got a load of GNappies v.cheap on the preloved FB pages.

We've been using them during the day alongside our BG Freetimes and tbh i'm still undecided whether I like them or not.

i'm not sure what it is that i'm not keen on but a few niggles would be:

I find it hard to do them up backwards sometimes its quite fiddly.
The pouch leaves imprints (like when you've been lying with your face planted on the couch :o).
Your supposed to change just the pouch unless the pant is soiled, which is great but again can be fiddly so if i'm rushing I just grab a preloaded pant which defeats the purpose of G's as the while point is that you generate less washing.
They can't be dried in sunlight and the colours do tend to fade.
I have yet to find something that contains BF poo so as not to stain the pouches.

However I do like:

They are superslim fitting.
A preloaded pouch and preloaded pant in the changing bag doesn't take up much space.
Funky colours.
When I manage it I do like getting able to just change the pouch do can just use 1 pant per day (if not soiled).

Overall I like them but don't love them and I really to!

Some people rave about them at my cloth nappy group, I think they bought re-useable charcoal inserts though. I've had a feel of them and I love that they are so thin, both for storage, taking out and about, and for the baby's mobility. they obviously would dry very fast too.

I love gnappies :)
I think I tried just about every other brand of cloth nappies before g's and am now trying to sell all my others as nothing works as well as gnappies for us.
The things I love the most are the pretty patterns and colours and the fact that they don't look like nappies. I call my daughters gPants her knickers because it looks more like shes wearing cute (sometimes frilly) knickers than nappies.
I love the fact she can wear jeans! Which is something she couldn't do in any other cloth nappy.
I love that I can use them as night nappies as well as during the day.
I have only had one poo leak, and that was when she had a poorly tummy. And I have never had a wee leak.
The fact that the disposable inserts are biodegradable is also great, and they last longer than cloth inserts so great for travelling.
I use the gcloth inserts when using cloth in them and I find them great. I know some people use charcoal bamboo inserts in them, but gcloth works great for us.
If you are on facebook there are some great gnappies support groups/pages too.
Also, I love the fact that they make matching dresses and tops!
I really recommend them and cant find a negative thing to say about them.
I hope that helps :) You should definitely give them a try

I am new to gNappies literally over the past 2 weeks and I am in love. They are fab and I am looking to stock up over the next week. I have sold all of my other brand nappies that I was having trouble with and am completely converted after buying 2 a couple of weeks ago. gRegals are a must for any nappy stash too.

SidWolf · 09/07/2013 16:03

about half of my nappy stash is made up of G's! they are my favourites (with fuzzibunz coming in a close second)

  • They are lovely and slim, and seem a bit cooler that pockets or all in ones
  • Velcro on the back can take some getting used to but is more difficult for older babies to get to so they dont whip their nappy off
  • the cloth inserts are fantastic, hemp/MF blend so very absorbant
  • Charcoal bamboo inserts fit perfectly in M/L sizes, also very absorbant
  • Never ever had a leak!
  • colours and prints are gorgeous!
  • disposable inserts are very good

We use the cloth inserts (a mix of Gcloths and charcoal bamboo) but we have a couple of packs of the disposable ones ready for our holiday at the end of the month

They aren't BTP, but thats why they're such a lovely fit, but they do keep their resale value better than other brands so its not too bad when you need to go up a size

Absolutely love them!

There's a few fb groups, b/s/t gnappies for buying/selling and gnappies community group for advice and general Gchatter :)

Massive thumbs up for gs here! Its the only nappy we use here. I tried several different cloth nappies and these are by far the best for my daughter. ( and for me) I also don't really like poo in my bag, so the compostable inserts are great for going out without the guilt!

Plus they are so slim and so cute! Oh and they go,d their value well so are a bargain!

MultipleMama · 18/07/2013 14:02

I love G's. I'll always sing high praises. They are the only brand I use. Used them with all 4 dc and will carry on using them. I wrote what I loved about them on another thread. Too lazy to c&p.

We cloth inserts at home with halves if needed d disposable inserts when out and about for convinence (can't spell today!). All sizes fit my kids perfectly and I rarely have bunching problems. Kids have never had nappy rashes either.
