I found them ok when dd was very little but my wrap started leaking within a few weeks and they weren't absorbant enough by the time she reached 4 months, so wouldn't recommend them. I prefer tots bots, motherease, wee notion and huggles! but dd is quite a heavy wetter! She could buy a trial pack or just buy a few different types from mumsnet or e-bay and see which type she gets on with best before she invests in loads of them.

I have used bambino mio for all 3 of my boys, found them good when they were little but always had to boost them. Chose them really as they are one of the cheapest options (hadn't discovered ebay at the time I bought them) & also they do dry v quickly on the line. Nursery managed to cope with them ok too. However, have had to stop using them for my 17 month old now as he tries to take them off & has been getting sore from the velcro what with all his beetling about. Am moving onto motherease sandys which are lovely but more pricey. Trial pack for your friend would be a good idea, or has she got a friend she could borrow one from?
