finally ds is asleep after a day of non stop feeding. problem is he is only in a nappy due to leakage and then screaming for another feed, he is 18 days old. do I dress him which will wake him or leave him as he is. room temp is 22.5 and he has a cotton cellular blanket folded double and a muslin over him

If you feel him and he is warm enough I would just leave him. Add another blanket if think he needs it but he is probably fine as he is.

Blanket is fine, go and relax for a bit. Too cold is better than too hot at this age anyway.

I would be tempted to leave him if you feel he's comfy temperature wise and get some rest/shower/food yourself if he has been feeding all day! You can always dress him next time he wakes...

My DD was born last summer and on warm nights she often slept in just a vest and a muslin covering, no blankets, a few times she didn't have the muslin and I'm sure she had occasions with no vest either, I'm sure your son will be fine, he'll probably be awake in a couple of hours anyway, if he's cold he'll let you know. I remember very well being really worried about clothing and whether what she was wearing was appropriate when my DD was a newborn.
