happy to be back at work as break from childcare

I feel i must be the only mum happy to be back at work. I have an almost 6mo baby girl EBF and a 3yo boy. Before ihad my children i worked for 10y so i am so relieved not to have to do all the childcare and i find it much easier to be at work.

Don't feel guilty! I love the balance, nothing wrong with working, earning some money and spending great time with the kids when you're not!

I thought I must be one of the weirdos who actually looked forward to Monday mornings, so I'm glad to see there's others out there.

Sitting quietly, minding your own business, having a good old natter with the girls, drinking as much HOT tea as you like, when you like, going to the loo when you need to, rather than when you can escape the clutches of your 18 month old going through a clingy phase...love it (though maybe not the part when I'm expected to produce stuff and use my brain for stuff other than the intro to in the night garden!)

Nope! Me too. I thought I'd stay off work until DCs were in school but I was so ready to go back to work. Now pregnant with DC2 and quite nervous about being off again.

Mmmm I think that depends on where you work.

My only main reason for having ds3 was to have six months off work. It was lovely!

You're not the only one. It can be hard being a mummy and working full time, but I think I'd go nuts if I didn't work. I think i need it! :-)
! It can also be hard when the GPs look shocked when I tell them DD is in nursery from 8 til after 5 on her three days in, but that's how it is. What are they doing to help out?

You are not alone! I felt terribly guilty with DS1 that I was really looking forward to going back to work when he was just a few months old.....now I know it's ok. I am lucky that I enjoy my job so with DS2 I know it's ok to feel ready to go back and not feel abnormal!
