Lovely compliment from woman in waiting room...

DS is 9 months old, and very mobile Grin
We were in a waiting room yesterday, only us, and another woman waiting at the other end of the room. DS very wriggly, so put him down, and he made a beeline for the woman. I was worried that she wouldn't want a baby pawing at her legs, so jumped up to grab him. She said 'leave him, he's fine, and you should take it as a compliment that he has the confidence to crawl around a strange room, and come up to someone who he doesn't know.'
Made me Smile and feel strangely proud of myself.

Any one else with stories of strangers making you smile?

I miss the days when strangers in restaurants would come over and compliment me on how beautifully my DSs (then aged 5 and 1) behaved at the table. Now DS1 is a teen, DS2 is 8 and DD is 6 and meals are like feeding time at the zoo, I am ratty and shouting at them all to sit down and eat properly, wishing we'd just gone to McDs instead!
