Hi,
I would like to read stuff that is not for the professional, as I do not have the vocabulary, but not crappy pseudo pop stuff either.

I loathe Oliver James.

I am interested in small children, starting school and formal learning, relationships in families with small children, all the usual sort of stuff.
I am not trying to solve a particular problem, just looking for ideas to throw around in my head while I look after these little people.

Any suggestinos very welcome!
Thank you

You might like

  • getting to know your baby, parent's guide to early child development (although possibly too young?)
Or
  • your brain on childhood
Disclaimer: although I currently have both these out from the library, they will probably go back unread...no concentration at the moment.

Also, a classic is: Between parent and child, by Haim Ginott
