Hi all I've just had a baby he will be 2 weeks old on Thursday and I also have a 2.6 year old. My partner goes back to work on Wednesday and I'm dreading it cos we are still not in a routine. The baby just screams through the older ones bath and bedtime and I'm not too sure how I'm going to get him settled while seeing to my oldest on my own. Any advice? X

It's hard but it gets easier. Dd2 screamed through everything I had to do with dd1 (3) but after a few weeks it calmed down. When dd2 was tiny she sat in her bouncer when I bathed dd1 and I feed her whole I'm reading a story etc. I empathise bit it didn't last long Grin

It just seems no matter what time he's fed a bottle he always seems to be unsettled around that time. While there's two of us it's ok but when I'm on my own who do I see to 1st lol x

Dd 15wkd and ds 2.9

It took a few weeks but we're there now, I bathe dd, then chuck ds in as I dress and feed her and then she's a little sleepy in her bouncer to tend to ds

It took several weeks to get into a routine but everyone is much more settled now Smile

That's good to know. Does the baby drink all the milk while the older one is in the bath! My baby takes about half an hour to drink a bottle I couldn't leave my oldest in the bath that long lol x
